We’re here to Restore your pelvic floor.
Transforming pelvic floor physical therapy through compassionate, integrative care.
You’re probably here because you need help, and you’re not sure where to go.
I’ve been there, too.
Hi, I’m Dr. Rebekah Slafka.
As both a licensed pelvic floor physical therapist and someone who’s experienced chronic pain, I founded the Restore Center to offer an integrative approach to pelvic floor physical therapy—something I wasn’t seeing anywhere else.
The standard model of care for pelvic floor physical therapy focuses on billable treatments and six-to-eight-week treatment plans—not relationship-building, long-term support.
Know why that doesn’t work?
You’re a person, not just a pelvis.
Where rapport meets results.
At Restore, we care about more than just getting you fixed up and out the door. We’re here to improve your overall well-being, be your advocate, and remain a resource as long as you need it.
This includes conditions such as:
Fibromyalgia
Chronic Pelvic Pain
Painful Periods
Erectile Dysfunction
Urine Leakage
Dsypareunia (pain with sex)
IBS
Interstitial Cystitis
Chronic Constipation
and many more!
Focused on people, not profit.
With chronic conditions of pain, sexual dysfunction, or bowel and bladder disorders, there are often limits to what insurance or providers will cover and treat.
That’s where Restore is different, offering a range of integrative treatments that support you for the long haul.
FAQs
-
Your pelvic floor muscles help stabilize your pelvis and spine; support the uterus, bladder, prostate, and rectum; assist with sexual function; and maintain bowel and bladder control. By working with a physical therapist who specializes in the pelvic floor, you can directly target any tightness, weakness, or tension caused by injury, trauma, or chronic illness that is inhibiting your functional well-being.
-
We treat everyone, no matter your gender or sexuality.
-
We do! While many practices will schedule male patients, most physical therapists aren’t trained or equipped to adequately treat men. Our PTs frequently treat male patients and, at a minimum, hold specialized certifications in rectal pelvic floor physical therapy from Herman & Wallace or APTA.
-
Nope! One of the main reasons we founded Restore is to eliminate barriers to receiving treatment. You can book an evaluation or appointment today here.
-
At your first appointment—and any appointment after that!—our goal is to make you feel seen, heard, loved, and empowered. We will only proceed with treatment options (including internal manual therapy!) with your consent, at your comfort level and speed.
-
Integrative dry needling is the use of acupuncture needles into a muscle to help it feel better. It is a gentle approach designed to support the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems of the body. It is best accompanied by a movement and strengthening practice, which is not something we facilitate at Restore with our dry needling-only patients.
-
We are experts in all the traditional pelvic floor physical therapy modalities—cupping, manual therapy, integrative dry needling, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, visceral mobilizations. But we also bring a whole-body approach to treatment, like understanding the gut-brain connection, the emotional function of the pelvic floor, trauma-informed medicine, and more.
As providers, we also understand on a personal level what it’s like to manage chronic pain and difficult diagnoses, balancing hope with realism. We’re here to help more than just your pelvic floor. We want to improve your entire well-being.
-
There’s a reason other practices can book patients quickly: Their standard of care is often simply—unfortunately!—not very high. We often have patients come to Restore after having a poor experience with another provider. While we know it can be difficult to wait for treatment, it’s worth finding a caring, experienced provider who will be committed to your wellbeing for the long haul.

We are out-of-network with insurance providers. This allows us to offer you thorough, customized treatment options for as long as you need. Insurance often operates in a way to maximize profit, only covering a small portion of treatments for a limited time. We believe you deserve care that provides the treatments you need for sustained, functional well-being—no matter how long that takes. Many insurance plans do offer out- of- network benefits that may cover some or all of your treatments here.
